I purchased a membership in early January as I wanted to get one of their sideboards at a slight discount. At the time, the item was said to be available in mid February. Since then, the availability date changed twice, eventually stating that it won’t be available until late July, which probably is another lie. I emailed them requesting a refund because that date is grossly different from the initial quote and they said sure but the $100 membership is non-refundable. I went and looked at the checkout process and it was never clearly stated that the membership is not refundable (you have to click into some fine prints). So basically this company lures customers into purchasing a membership to buy furniture at a discounted prices, but most of the furniture aren’t even available. When you ask for a refund of that membership fee, you are then denied, when in fact you never even got to use that membership. This is sketchy af and I regret not doing more research online as the Rove Concepts has sooo many extremely negative reviews on BBB. This company has some good marketing but most customers either don’t receive their stuff or receive damaged items. Buyer beware!
Edit: I’m not complaining about the crazy delay in production due to Covid. It’s the non-refundable membership fee and the false advertising in availability date that I find problematic. You can go on their website right now and there are items that say “ship in a week”. If that’s the case you assume the item is already built but that’s clearly not the case.
